Find a New Testament Commentary in Primo

In the "Search Primo" box, type the following: (please note: the following headings are not case sensitive)

1. Bible Matthew Commentaries or try Bible N T  Matthew Commentaries
2. Click on the "Search" button
 

To search for commentaries on epistles with 1st’s and 2nd’s, use the following examples:

For commentaries on 1st and 2nd Corinthians:

  • Bible N.T. Corinthians Commentaries
  • Bible Corinthians Commentaries

For commentaries specific to 1st Corinthians:

  • Bible N.T. Corinthians, 1st Commentaries
  • Bible Corinthians, 1st Commentaries

For commentaries specific to 2nd Corinthians:

  • Bible N.T. Corinthians, 2nd Commentaries
  • Bible Corinthians, 2nd Commentaries

For commentaries about 1st Peter or 1st John:

  • Bible N.T. Peter, 1st Commentaries or Bible Peter, 1st Commentaries

To distinguish between commentaries on the epistles of John and the Gospel of John use these subject headings:

  • Bible N.T. Epistle of John, 1st Commentaries or Bible Epistle of John, 1st Commentaries
  • Bible N.T. John Commentaries or Bible John Commentaries

 

To search for commentaries on collected parts of the New Testament, use these subject headings: (please note: take the N.T. out of the heading and do a separate search for additional, usually newer works).
